In the heart of Quito, Ecuador, more than two decades ago, D'laCosta was born, a dream that sought to bring the authentic taste of traditional snacks to every home. This project, full of hope and passion, encountered financial obstacles that put its journey on hold. It seemed the dream was destined to fade away.
However, true dreams never die, they just wait for the right moment to be reborn.
Four years ago, in the picturesque rural parish of Puerto Limón, Santo Domingo, D'laCosta found its new opportunity. Puerto Limón, home to the Tsáchila and Montubio people, is a magical place with lush landscapes and ancient traditions, where legends of goblins and demons still live on.
In this vibrant and cultural environment, D'laCosta re-emerged, providing employment to women in the community and improving their lives. It wasn't just a business revival, but a purposeful mission: to demonstrate that perseverance and community work can transform realities.
D'laCosta not only returned as a producer of banana, malanga, yuca, sweet potato snacks, and the innovative vegetable mix, but also as a symbol of hope and growth.
Each ingredient is meticulously selected, ensuring not only an authentic flavor but also supporting local agriculture and the region's sustainability. Each bag of snacks is the result of the effort and love of hardworking hands who put their dedication into each product.
Our commitment goes beyond offering a simple snack. We want to share with the world the essence of Ecuador, the flavors of our traditions, and the hard work of a community that never gives up. Hidden in every bite is a story, a connection to the land and to those who, day after day, make it possible for D'laCosta to continue growing.
D'laCosta is more than a company. It's a symbol of resilience, a testament to the fact that when you fight with your heart, it's possible to start over. Every bite is a reminder that second chances exist and that by supporting our product, you also support a collective dream of transformation and dignity.
In every crunch of our snacks, there's a story to tell. And that story is just beginning...
We promote the comprehensive development of rural communities by generating inclusive employment for men and women, with a special focus on supporting female heads of household, promoting their economic autonomy and the well-being of their families.
We promote sustainable internal practices that minimize environmental impact, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System.
At D'laCosta, as part of the community, we are happy to welcome visitors, tours, or excursions from diverse groups, including retirees, students, and anyone interested in learning more about the processes we carry out in our company.
